I’m deadly tired from the flu that I’m currently fighting, but Adurday is too important to disregard!  So, let me just say- this ad from the 80s gave us a timeless catch phrase that I remember even though I wasn’t born yet.  I’m not sure if Wendy’s actively did anything to encourage the phrase’s adoption by popular culture, but if they did it certainly worked. ...

One of advertising’s classics! I almost used this campaign as one of the case studies for my thesis, but my thesis advisor told me not to.  Oh well.  I still think it applies very well to my general argument that the most effective advertising appeals to cultural subsects and is based off of pre-existing cultural trends. However, I think that Mac users tend to be less anti-establishment...

Dracula: 5 May →
I’m reading Dracula in real time.  It was written as an epistolary novel (like a diary), so the entries are posted in the blog on the same day that the journal entries are dated. This is a very cool concept, but it has one huge fatal flaw.  I wanna read the next entry now.  I have no patience.  And I refuse to wait until my interest is gone!  I’m seizing the moment! Does anyone know...

It is MAYYYYY!!!! Classes are finally over, my thesis is handed in, and I can SLEEP AGAIN!  Hallelujah!  And I can finally work long enough to actually make enough money to pay my rent again!  I will have time to do my spring cleaning!  I will have time to do laundry for the first time in like two months!  This is all kinds of wonderful!!! Speaking of paying the rent, I had a fabulous interview...
