I’m fixing a hole where the rain gets in and stops my mind from wandering where it will go.

When You Watch These Ads, The Ads Check You Out →
While this article may be really long and have no pictures (which almost made me not read it, to be honest), it is extremely interesting. Advertisements on the street and in malls will soon be able to tell our gender, age, and possibly our ethnicity and then change which advertisements are shown based on who we are.
It’s reminiscent of “Minority Report,” but I don’t think...

Does anyone know if there is a way to apply Google Analytics to your Twitter account? I just learned how to do it and I’m a little obsessed.
Spent the afternoon looking up one-liners to cheer up Matthew with. While drinking coffee. Result: hysterical laughter in a room by myself.

I think that Funk is officially my new favorite genre of music.
After more reading on Doostang, I have less interest in joining. That site will die before long, mark my words. http://tinyurl.com/3jotbu
Oh wait… Can you only get jobs to those companies listed? Nevermind. I have no interest.
Just heard about Doostang and I am SO JEALOUS that my college isn’t listed! Can someone please invite me? I need a job!
Interesting comment from a classmate today that Twitter is mostly used to complain about life. (Maybe she just has annoying friends… :-x)
PR Squared: "I'm Just the PR Person" →
This is just what I was talking about in class today. Transparency is increasing in people’s personal and professional lives as well as in corporations. The public knows all. And they will judge you for it.
As annoying as snow can be, slushy rain is 100 times worse.
E3 Icebreaker
I just gave this speech in class as an assignment to demonstrate our speaking abilities and to get feedback on ways we can improve. This one class was more helpful, I think, than the entire semester of Speech class that we were forced to take freshman year. My class told me that the speech was powerful, so I decided to share it with you:
Hello, everyone. My name is Christine Peterson and I am...
I’m really, really disappointed that we don’t have a snow day today. Now I regret not doing my homework… :-\
Three ladies from Google are here in class teaching us how to use Google AdWords and Analytics. This is extremely cool and useful.
Starting to read “Secrets of Social Media Marketing” by Paul Gillin for Social Media class. Is it nerdy that I am REALLY EXCITED for this?
Note to self: Do not touch the griddle when it is 200 degrees. Ow.
I am the King of wishful thinking.
At best, a message is only the starting point for a conversation in which a...

Thoughts on my future marketing career.
The more I read about the marketing industry the more I believe that it is undergoing significant change, propelled by the growing effect of the Internet on our daily lives. Gone are the days when traditional advertising was trusted and appreciated. No matter what platform on which it appears (Internet included), advertisements are vastly ignored unless they add value to the conversation...

This is absolutely ridiculous. The world has been so worried about the Internet ruining the revenues of so many industries… And it turns out that Monty Python figured out how to make it work. Go figure.
Although, it seems to me as though genuine goodwill, a passion for the product, and customer-friendly business practices seem to create the best revenues for a company. Because people...

I’m in Entrepreneurship class at the moment… It seemed very fitting that I would stumble upon this link. While I may be studying to create my own business, I don’t think I would choose to work for one. Especially not when I’m just entering the working world. I’d like at least some element of stability in my life!
I was just exploring the tumblr map and I am quite surprised that no one is using tumblr in my home town. Not one person! That is rather sad. South Jersey needs to step up!
No one should ever give me a large supply of chocolate while I am just sitting around. Because I will eat ALL of it. Mmmmm, chocolaaate.

Job Search
I realized yesterday that my classmates are already applying for jobs even though we don’t graduate until next semester. I am so glad that it is time to start looking because I am SO EXCITED. Most people hate job hunting, but I love looking at all the possibilities. There are so many different directions my life can go in once I graduate! I am anxious for the adventure of real life.

Dave Kellett is one of the funniest guys that I follow online. This is a comic from a while back about marketing that I thought was quite apropos for one of my first posts. (The next comic is about marketing too!)
E3 Thoughts
I’ve been struggling with my E3 Entrepreneurship Project because I’m not sure if I want to dedicate myself to a company that would require me to stay in Boston forever. I also feel as though I need more experience within an agency before I could ever create my own agency. So, I’m basically scrapping a semester worth of work, at least for now.
I do have new ideas for a similar,...
